Field Services
What do we do?
The Field Services Department provides a full array of services to AIEC-member cooperatives. FSD personnel can be found finding extra linemen and equipment for a cooperative experiencing major storm outages. At other times, personnel will be providing and operating a professional public address system for a cooperative's annual meeting.
AIEC member cooperative personnel can enjoy substantial savings in cooperative purchases of electrical equipment, cooperative vehicles, electrical publications, etc. by working with the FSD.
In addition to assisting AIEC member-cooperatives, the FSD is responsible for maintaining the statewide association's building, grounds and vehicles. The set up of AIEC meeting rooms and preparation of meeting luncheons are also handled by FSD personnel.
IEC Emergency Work Plan
The IEC Emergency Work Plan is designed to expeditiously provide personnel, equipment and materials to any electric cooperative in Illinois which needs assistance during an emergency.
To request assistance, refer to the inside back cover of the Association of Illinois Electric Cooperative's current directory.
